What: NATS NYC Chapter presents the Metropolitan Opera’s Bryan Wagorn in conversation with Peter Thoresen (Classical Singer Magazine & NATS NYC Board Member). The evening will include a discussion and Q&A about Wagorn’s experiences working with singers ranging from students to today’s top artists. This free World Voice Day event will conclude with a masterclass with 2 preselected singers. 

Bryan Wagorn serves as Assistant Conductor at the Metropolitan Opera, and he regularly performs throughout North America, Europe, and Asia as a soloist, chamber musician, and recital accompanist the world’s leading singers, including Anthony Roth Costanzo, Lise Davidsen, and Nadine Sierra. Wagon holds a Doctor of Musical Arts degree from Manhattan School of Music, where he serves as a member of the Collaborative Piano Faculty.

Contemporary Styles Masterclass with Kevin Wilson

Kevin Wilson joined the Boston Conservatory voice faculty in 2008 and is an associate professor of voice. He teaches applied voice for musical theater and vocal performance, as well as the courses Structure and Function of the Singing Mechanism, Vocal Pedagogy, Applied Teaching Practicum, and Foundations of Voice Technique. He also serves as director of the Conservatory's Vocal Pedagogy Professional Workshop.
